Mine – Ventilation Shaft
Two flat joints in the ventilation shaft, 55 metres below the collar were leaking. 16 injection holes were drilled into the concrete shaft lining accessing the water body. These holes were equipped with mechanical handset packers. 8 holes were used for the grouting of Scem66 emulsion and the remainder for activators.
High pressure grouting forced the Scem66 emulsion to penetrate all the conduits thus sealing all the leaks.
