A 1m thick x 30m diaphragm wall, sunk during the construction of a 14 level underground car park in the City of London, showed a number of areas where a small amount of water was leaking through joints between the panels of the wall.
The leaks ranged from at worst “a drip per minute” to “beads of water on damp concrete” and though small, still required sealing.
A small team successfully treated these leaks. The result was that all the dripping had stopped and the damp patches dried out.
